Starbase Commander has recently passed on at the wonderful age of almost 16 years. He was an awesome herd sire that I was proud to have raised. This handsome fellow produced some great progeny for me at Star Creek Ranch including Kinetic Motion of Stars, a fabulous cow that measures 106.625″ tip to tip. Kinetic was the first cow to measure 100″ TTT at the TLBAA Horn Showcase when 100″ TTT cows were unheard of. They are now much more numerous. Starbase has two other daughters besides Kinetic, Starbased Nike and Race to the Stars that have also reached the magic 100″ mark. Starbase is an embryo bull sired by PPF Gun Maker and out of a tremendous Dixie Joker daughter, Lady Dixie. In 2012 I received the honor of the Dave Evans Award “Breeder of the Year” by the TLBAA. Starbase definitely played his part in helping me win this award. I still have semen on Starbase so his influence on my herd is not over. RIP Starbase. (Picture taken 12/02/2018)
