STARBASED NIKE

Starbased Nike is a stunning Texas Longhorn cow bred and raised by my good friend and neighbor, Dr. Ron Martens. She is sired by my fantastic herd sire Starbase Commander. Her dam, X Club Star, is a daughter of X Star, a bull I bred and raised. Nike was in the Club 40 (Over 40″ TTT on her one year birthday) and measured 71.75″ TTT on her second birthday. I think she held the two-year-old measurement record for a while but now she has been soundly beaten by a daughter, Nike Star Tobiano. who measured 75.625″ TTT on her second birthday. I believe Tobiano holds the record two year measurement now. At the 2018 TLBAA Horn Showcase Nike won three First Place Bronzes: 72.5625″ TTT; 85.75″ TH; 191.875″ Composite. She hit another milestone measuring 80″ TTT at only 2 years, 8 months and 17 days and was 83.375 at 3 years, 6 days. She was 90.5″ TTT at the 2020 TLBAA Horn Showcase. Nike’s first calf is a heifer sired by Lucchese Star; and born on 04/22/2019. I flushed Nike to TCC Rios Voomerific, aka The Beast and got two awesome embryo Texas Longhorn daughters from him, Nike Star Tobiano and Nike Star Overo. Nike Star Tobiano was also in the Club 40 measuring 43.75″ at one year. Both of these heifers are gorgeous. In 2021 Nike had a fancy bull, Star Stryker, sired by my tremendous brindle bull Rev Up the Stars. Star Stryker was also in the Club 40. We flushed Nike by IVF to TCC Rios Voomerific and although we used reverse sorted semen we got a very nice bull calf born that we call Star Strike Force 1. On April 2, 2022 she has a very nice bull calf, Chromium Star, sired by Magnum Star Force. Nike is marching right along with her horn growth and we think she will be another one to reach the magic 100″ mark. In 2023 Nike had a fantastic daughter, Stars Over Texas, sired by RR Wyatt.
