STAR PLATOON

Star Platoon came into this world with an audience of five people and four cows. From the time we started watching Fanta with feet showing until the baby was born it only took about 18 minutes. The other cows came around to introduce themselves to the baby and help clean it up. He (which we discovered shortly) was up and walking and getting his first meal in about 25 minutes. These Texas Longhorns have such natural calving ease and the calves are born with so much vigor it still amazes me. By the afternoon he was running at mama’s side and stretching his legs. Look on my Instagram page for the photos of his first minutes. Now look at him at just over two months. Very thick horns, straight back and growing as fast as the green grass he is standing in.
